How to change NHIF hospital online

There are three ways you can change an NHIF hospital online

• Dial *155# on your phone
• Change via the NHIF portal
• Download MYNHIF app

How to change NHIF hospital using phone

1. Dial *155# on your phone
2. Select your preferred language i.e English or Kiswahili
3. Select National Health Scheme
4. Enter your ID number
5. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your phone.Your phone number has to be registered in the NHIF system.
6. Verify OTP and then enter the one time password
7. Select change hospital
8. Select the beneficiary you want to change the hospital for
9. Browse county
10. Enter the county the hospital is located in
11. Type the hospital name
12. Confirm then submit your details
13. Repeat the above process for all your beneficiaries

How to change NHIF hospital via the selfcare portal

1. Visit the NHIF selfcare Portal
2. Enter your ID Number
3. A One Time Password (OTP)will be sent to the mobile number registered with NHIF
4. Enter the OTP to verify your number 
5. Click on the facilities tab
6. Select the county the NHIF facility is located in
7. Select ‘change hospital‘ to the one you prefer
8. Repeat the above process for all your beneficiaries
